The fairly new urban concept from IKEA is combining IKEA stores with a retail park where people can have a good time shopping in the retail stores or using the hospitality facilities provided. Located in Belgrade, Serbia, IKEA Retail Park have been designed next to Belgrade – Niš highway, in the area of commercial and industrial facilities south of the Bubanj Potok toll gate. The area covers 162,271 m², while the total GFA of the facilities is 37,971.85 m2.
The project defines seven construction phases. The first phase involves the car park with the associated infrastructure and infrastructure facilities as well as underground infrastructure facilities. Phase 1 also involves the construction of bus stops, taxi stand, bicycle parking, disabled parking spaces, family parking spaces, trailer parking spaces, employee parking spaces and electrical vehicle charging stations. Phase 2 consists of 2 buildings - a strip mall and cafe. Phase 3 is a “Do it Yourself” department store. Phase 4 includes another department store and 3 restaurants.
