An oasis for IT experts with LEED Platinum certification
InGrid Schneider Electric HUB is a groundbreaking transformation of an old industrial hall into a LEED Platinum-certified IT Center. Rooted in preserving the historical significance of Novkabel Complex, the project seamlessly integrates working spaces with greenery, translucence, and natural light. With a focus on maintaining the highest energy efficiency standards, the innovative design caters to over 1000 employees.
The architectural vision includes a Green Ring along the façade, adorned with various vegetation types, and Green Atriums—four inner gardens offering spaces for relaxation and work. Project Director Milena Katić describes the resulting ambiance as a blend of natural park spaces and working areas, creating an authentic and monumental atmosphere.
By preserving the original hall structure through meticulous restoration, the project minimizes environmental impact while retaining the site's identity. Reconstruction benefits extend beyond the building, empowering the community through the conservation of existing values.
Eco-sustainability is a core focus, with early strategic decisions reducing CO2 emissions and energy consumption by up to 75%. The project champions construction material selection, recycled concrete, wastewater treatment systems, and renewable energy sources.
Future IT Center Benefits:
Improved Living and Working Conditions: Lower long-term costs contribute to enhanced living and working conditions for the occupants.
Sustainable Business Model: Storing and potentially selling energy reduce costs and mitigate the risk of power outages or shortages.
Community Engagement: The project fosters a community gathered around essential collective values
